Sr. Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities include: Assign work schedule and duties. Communicate efficiency expectation to employees. Evaluate and understand work priorities. Ensure employees compliance with work rules and Fairfield plant guidelines. Ensure compliance with safety requirements and procedures. Evaluate staffing needs to meet production requirement and request increase and/or decrease in a timely manner to remain within budget limitations. Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with other supervisors and managers. Ensure smooth flow of information between shifts and other departments. Track direct and indirect materials to ensure efficient use and waste reduction. Review timecards to ensure accuracy of schedule worked,approved overtime and leave time. Monitor rest periods and meal breaks. Must possess the ability to assume charge in all emergency situations. Responsible for all housekeeping/cleanup duties, as required, daily. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and the evaluation of the shift. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Other duties include interviewing, hiring, developing employees; planning and directing work; conduct performance evaluations with follow up for remedial training if required; rewarding and disciplining employees; respond to employee concerns and resolving problems. Must always support plant and department initiatives. Work hours for this position are from 5:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This job requires working extended hours as production dictates, which may include weekends.QualificationsAbility to read, analyze and interpret documents such as technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety regulations and operating/maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before assigned group of employees and updates review with managers. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. Ability to make sound decision consistent with business focus.
