Staff Accountant

Job duties:The staff accountant position provides an important function within the CMCR Accounting Department, this position creates journal entries using accrual accounting concepts, must be knowledgeable of general accounting principles, be able to use Excel extensively, reconcile difficult accounts and understand what auditors are requesting during the quarterly and annual audits. This position supports the accounting department with their performance as a financial staff accountant. The primary responsibilities of the staff accountant include: reconciling intercompany accounts, bank reconciliations, month end close and assisting others within the Accounting Department to ensure all processes are completed accurately and on time. Some overtime required (estimate 5 hours per week, maybe more during close) Experience required:Minimum 3 - 5 years of staff accounting experience Education/Skills:Accounting degree required, strong excel skills and hands-on experience with computerized accounting systems
