Staff Financial Analyst

DescriptionThis individual will interface with all levels of management. Position will concentrate on the preparation and presentation of financial and operational analysis. Individual will be actively involved in developing, maintaining, and supporting financial reports. The incumbent will apply knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals (GAAP) to analyze, review, and report on business activities and financial results. Responsible to assist in preparation of budgets and prepare actual vs. budget variance analyses in addition to the preparation of financial reports that satisfy both division and/or corporate management. The incumbent will assist in the management and coordination of the month-end accounting close that includes the preparation and processing of journal entries and account reconciliation. Responsibilities may include expense analysis, market fund development accounting, bonus verification, and fixed asset tracking.Qualifications BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance 2-4 years related experience is preferred. Strong PC skills utilizing Excel and Word are required; Oracle and Business Objects a plus. Hyperion experience preferred. Must have a strong knowledge of GAAP, ability to prioritize duties, work independently with minimal supervision, and able to meet a variety of deadlines. Experience with budgets, account analysis, month-end activities, and G/L software is required. Successful candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Must be very detail oriented, display excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability Excellent communication skills to interact frequently with both internal and external contacts.
