Staff Mechanical Project Engineer

 

Our client, a worldwide leader in the manufacture and marketing of residential and commercial building products, is currently seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer to oversee the mechanical project engineering at the corporate level.

 

Based in Southeastern, PA less than an hour from Harrisburg, the Staff Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvement projects and manufacturing capacity projects, by building and facilitating teams for new installations, and leading new programs, alterations to existing equipment, and programs to increase performance and profitability.

 

The Staff Mechanical Project Engineer will be accountable for all phases of engineering projects, including technical accuracy, economic feasibility, cost control, timely and safe completion and operating performance. 

 

Ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of manufacturing technology, project management and team building skills, experience troubleshooting existing systems and installing new systems, and experience providing project engineering support to manufacturing and production.

 

Requirements:

· Experience installing, altering, troubleshooting and improving process equipment for high volume manufacturing

· Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and designing solutions to production problems

· Ability to Plan and Execute projects to implement new processes or improve current processes

· Experience leading teams

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

 

Additional Desired Experience

· Experience with Lean Manufacturing

· Training, experience, and/or certification in Six Sigma

· Experience in pulp or paper manufacturing processes
