Staff/Tax Accountant

 

Taylor-Wharton is looking for a Staff / Tax Accountant to join our corporate headquarters team in Mechanicsburg, PA.  This is an exciting opportunity for the person who wants to work in a critical function for a market leader.  The Staff/Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting and tax functions while working in a team environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

This position will be responsible for:

 Assisting with month-end closing including posting journal entries, balancing intercompany accounts, and distributing expense allocations to Operating units.Reconciling accountsPreparing sales and use taxes in a multi-state, multi-company environmentAssisting with other issues as needed

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will have a 4 year degree in Accounting or a related field as well as:

 

 

ü a minimum of three years relevant accounting/tax experience

ü the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities

ü excellent analytical thinking skills

ü good communication and organizational skills

ü proficiency in Excel and MS Office
