Stepper Sr. Graphic Artist

The Stepper Graphic Artist is responsible for creating and maintaining digital artwork for video slot games. This includes symbol designs, background screens, game glass and help screens, as well as symbol and feature animations.
Must be self-motivated and creative, work well in a team environment and be able to work within existing restraints.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates original graphics for video gaming devices, developing screen layout and style.
• Creates original graphics for slot machine glass.
• Creates Help Screens which are both attractive and technically accurate.
• Works with the Game Designer on theme and look.
• Labels and prints glass representations for submission authorities and advertising vendors.
• Develops storyboards.
• Updates old artwork for reuse in new games.
• Updates glass and help screen wording to accommodate jurisdictional requirements.
• Supports engineering development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BA or equivalent experience in art related field.

Experience: 3+ years 2D graphics experience.

Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
• Expert drawing skills, strong graphic design skills.
• Computer skills, proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator (or equivalent) software.
• Must demonstrate an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in illustration tools and techniques required, as shown in portfolio.
• Knowledge of XML and familiarity with SourceSafe or similar database software a big plus.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have strong communication skills, able to work independently and be team oriented.


This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.



PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
• Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
• May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lbs.
