Supermarket Refrigeration Installation Technician

Ingersoll Rand Climate Control Technologies Sector is seeking an experienced Installation Specialist - Refrigeration for our Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee locations.


POSITION SUMMARY:

* Install refrigeration, heating & air-conditioning systems commonly installed in supermarkets, convenient stores and cold storage facilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Read and comprehend piping diagrams as well as understand all aspects of pipefitting.

*Working knowledge of all refrigerated moving equipment (i.e. Case dollies, jacks, etc.).

*Working knowledge of cooler and freezer box assembly. Solder copper pipe, diagnose water-leak complaints, remove cases from truck without damage, install PVC drain pipe, recognize major case types, locates and sets superheat specification, receive, uncrate and properly hang blower coils, install orifice and thermostatic expansion valves. Locate refrigeration leak, fabricate hangers, struts and supports, identify pipe size and fittings by sight, and power wash air-cooled condensing units.

*Maintain current knowledge of Hussmann new product developments, service bulletins and issues.

*Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures including OSHA and any local authorities governing requirements.

*Complete necessary documents (time sheets) and electronic communication in a thorough, accurate and timely manner for timely invoicing requirements.

*Demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration installation maintaining the Installation Specialist - Hussmann CERTI-TECH certification.

*Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction.

*Maintain and manage truck inventory in an accurate, neat and orderly manner as well as adhere to vehicle maintenance program guidelines (If applicable).

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

*High School diploma required.

*Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.

*Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects up to fifty pounds.

*Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.

*Minimum of 3 years of experience.

*Ability to work nights and/or weekends as required.

*EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.

*NATE Certification.
