Supervisor - Second Shift

Description:

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of machine operators and packers. Inspect paper products for quality while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Candidate will be a self-starter with the ability and enthusiasm to work independently and supervise others. Strong mechanical ability a MUST.

Shift 2nd Monday-Thurs 5:30PM-4:00AM

Responsibilities Include:

·  Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments or shifts.

·  Communicate between shifts to meet production schedules and goals.

·  Resolve work problems and mechanical issues while recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality.

·  Assist on machines when mechanical issues arise by performing maintenance whenever possible.

·  Communicate daily unresolved mechanical issues.

·  Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and quality and company policies.

·  Prepare production paperwork as necessary.

·  Communicate, support and enforce new policies.

·  Provide a safe working environment by correcting and reporting unsafe working conditions.

·  Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards.

·  Must be a Team player with ability to work well with others on all levels.

·  Oversee the security of the premises and its contents on your shift.

Requirements:

·  Must be able to communicate effectively.

·  Knowledge of safe working conditions.

·  Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must.

·  Proven mechanical ability.

·  Able to work independently.

·  Computer skills, Word, Excel and email helpful.

·  High School diploma or equivalent.

·  Minimum five (5) years production supervisory experience. Machine shop experience a plus.

·  Self-starter with the ability and enthusiasm to work independently and supervise diverse work groups.

·  Excellent people skills.

·  Ability to handle multiple tasks.

·  Other duties as assigned.
