Supplier Quality Engineer 2763

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, we are looking for a hands-on, results-driven, high potential supplier quality engineer who loves working at the point of value to improve quality for procurement across all spend categories. Specifically, the successful candidate will be responsible for qualifying suppliers, auditing products, assuring compliance with the Quality Management System and will assist in the development and execution of the procurement strategy and commodity strategies. This person will establish the quality performance management inspection plans, tools and metrics that the company will use to track and analyze supplier quality performance.  This individual will support the RFP/RFQ process to determine the best supplier for the job.  This person will travel 50% of the time (much of it international) and will work with current and emerging market countries.The successful candidate must possess the following credentials or experience.BS degree required.  Six Sigma Certification required.  Five to eight years of progressive quality experience with three to five in supplier quality required.  International supplier experience is a huge plus.  CQE Certification via ASQ.  Ability to dissect issues using various TQM tools (i.e. Fish-Bone, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Charts, etc.) Strong project management skills as well as leader, teaming, trouble-shooting, and communication skills. 50% travel required, including international travel.
