Exterran is seeking Supply Chain Manager for our Houston, TX location.
Primary Responsibilities and AssignmentsResponsible for the managing, planning, and coordination of the supply chain activities in support of the business objectives. Ensures that purchased and procurement of goods support quality, cost, inventory and service level standards, and oversees all materials and equipment from requisition to the jobsite. Establishes purchasing and warehouse department goals to ensure realization of Company operating objectives. Establishes and oversees departmental operations relative to Electronic Commerce, including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Vendor Managed Inventory, and Consignment inventory. Oversees the negotiation of purchase contracts, follow up, scheduling and expediting of deliveries, including all JIT Partnership agreements. Visits vendor facilities to investigate capacity, ability to meet quality requirements, specifications and delivery dates. Develops material handling procedures throughout the supply chain process. Manages logistics and transportation for all Total Solutions projects. Establishes, monitors, and controls purchasing departmental budget in accordance with the projected business plan. Maintains awareness of key market trends and pricing as well as the development of new materials or products and recommends and/or councils others on these changes. Advises Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and management on current and future price, availability and delivery schedules. Maintains familiarity and compliance with all Company Corporate policies and procedures, all U.S. and International procurement regulations, as well as determine internal purchasing Policies and Procedures for the Company. Leads training and employee improvement/development within the Total Solutions supply chain team with a view toward maximizing competency, efficiency, and retention.
Education and Certification
Required:Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university.
Desired: MBA is highly desirable.
Specific Work Background/Experience
Required:Minimum 10 years experience in increasing roles of responsibility in the supply chain.
Desired: Prior people management desirable. Experience with gas compression and process equipment desirable.
