Sustaining Engineer

The Cleanroom Sustaining Engineer is responsible for sustaining existing processes and developing new processes for fabrication of high brightness LEDs.

· Maintain existing manufacturing processes and work to improve the yield of these processes

· Work with the Engineering and Technology groups to introduce new processes that are consistent with high volume and high yield manufacturing

· Develop criteria and metrics for new process introduction

· Identify critical process parameters, initiate and sustain statistical process control

· Work closely with Engineering Group to conduct process FMEAs for critical processes

· Work closely with the FAB, Equipment Maintenance to sustain and improve existing processes

· Reports to the manager of sustaining engineering group

Minimum Qualification Required:

· Knowledge of semiconductor processes in a development environment.  This would include hands on operating experience.

· Minimum of 5+ years experience

· BS or MS in Engineering or related discipline

· Proven ability to address processing issues and improve yield

· Good communication skills

· Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
