Systems Integration Specialist

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. (YCAS) offers complete integrated sound solutions for the commercial audio market which includes concert halls, churches, broadcasting & music recording.  Products offered include digital audio mixing systems, digital production consoles, sound reinforcement consoles, processors, amplifiers, speakers, and DSP engines.  We currently have an opening for a Systems Integration Specialist.

This position is responsible for the pre-configuration, certification (Quality Control) and monitoring of complete Commercial Audio systems per customer requirements.
The position also includes the responsibilities of providing assistance in system implementation and integration support via the phone, email or on-site and the monitoring/reporting/resolution of any problem that occurs with an installed system.In addition, this position will also carry the following Service Department responsibilities: provide electronic repair service support via phone and email to dealers, field technicians and customers; provide high quality product repairs; create technical materials; perform field service calls; supervise the Service Department in the event that the Technical Service Manager is absent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

These are ESSENTIAL:Associate's degree or vocational training certificate in Electronics and a minimum two years of commercial audio systems experience. Commercial Audio knowledge, professional sound training, digital audio training or experience in repairing power amps, digital mixers and signal processors is required.Computer and networking abilitiesExtensive product and system knowledge (both the operational/internal electronics level)In-depth component-level and system level troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent soldering techniquesAbility to use both analog and digital oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters and audio analyzersGood Customer relations and Supervisory skillsAbility to read and speak English fluently and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics and procedure manuals.  Must have ability to write routine reports, correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Advanced computer literacy and networking skills in addition to knowledge of the standard MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance). Manual dexterity and operational skills are required to operate computers, networking products and test equipment.  Individual should possess excellent verbal communication, technical writing skills as well as computer competence.  Individual must be able to perform difficult/complex repairs of defective components, subassemblies, and system related problems. Use test measurements and internal diagnostic programs to determine the cause and location of malfunctions. Repair equipment and subassemblies by replacing defective components and adjusting/aligning as needed. Perform bench equipment tests to verify operability of repaired equipment.  Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on installed commercial audio systems and perform final or quality control inspection.  Interact with customers on a face to face basis with professionalism when performing system implementation/integration and field service calls.
