Systems Support Administrator

This is a permanent full time position to be located at the Pompano Beach, FL  facility.  Candidate must be hands on and able to work independently under Corporate guidance.  The position will report directly to the V.P. of Business Processes at Corporate eBusiness Center with dotted line reporting to President of Environmental Group. 

 Job Requirements

 Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of study requiredMust have 3 - 5 years experienceMicrosoft MCSE Certification requiredGeneral Security Best Practices knowledge and familiarity with WAN communication strategies preferredIP Phone system experience helpfulFamiliarity with ethernet topology and network hardware infrastructure
iSeries(AS400) experience Programming Experience in Databases (Lotus Notes, Access, others) a plus

 Job Description

 
To function as the local IT systems support at a remote site under a corporate IT infrastructure.

 

  Application Support – Under Corporate Guidance



  Develop local training for various ERP functions.

  Assist local personnel in defining functional requirements for 
 programming services. 

Act as coordinator between local facility and corporate IT.

  Utilize data downloaded from AS400 ERP through use of Access and Excel, 
to meet  minor reporting needs of Marketing, Purchasing and Production.

 

    Technical Support

 

  Installation/Upgrades and Support of IBM PC’s

  Installation/Upgrades and Support of HP printers

  Installation/Upgrades and Support of IBM servers

  PC to LAN and iSeries(AS400) connectivity

  ISeries(AS400) peripheral support, printers, et2000’s, scanners, etc.

  PC Peripheral installations (Disk, Memory, CD drives, Modems, Scanners, etc.)

  PC Software installations

  Phone system support

  Communication equipment support, routers, etc.

  Infrastructure wiring support

  On-site assistance to the facilities manager to enable auxiliary power 
backup during power outage.

Security awareness

  Internet awareness

  Coordinate with outside technical vendors as required

    Help desk support

  Tape backup support

  Problem analysis and solution
  Participation in departmental staff meetings

  Provide daily timesheets to report activity

  Commitment to process improvements

  Commitment to further education in order to remain at a competent 
technical level
