(WPT) a division of Earth Tech, Inc. is a Salt Lake City-based systems integrator, specializing in high-purity water treatment applications for industry and beverage markets. Equipment is designed to produce the highest water quality with the smallest installed foot-print, thus providing the lowest installed cost to the customer. Technologies include clarification, micro and ultra filtration, media filtration, RO, resin-based demineralizers, and EDI. Water & Power Technologies, Inc. (WPT) is currently accepting qualified applicants for 1 regular full-time Technician II for our Columbia, South Carolina operations. Responsibilities include: Service DI exchange Installation of Water Purification systems Must be capable of handling multiple project assignments with shifting priorities. Communicate on a regular basis with supervisor maintenance / problems / concerns / observations work on continual improvement Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on Water Purification systems Follow all of Earth Tech’s, WPT’s and site Health/Safety/Environmental rules and requirements Perform duties in a SAFE and efficient manner Be on call 24 hours for emergency call outs when on duty Requirements: REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent 2 years service experience in the water purification industry preferred Good mechanical and plumbing aptitude required Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Sound troubleshooting and problem-solving skills a must Self-starter, good organizational skills, ability to multitask, and capable of working alone, with a co-worker, or in a group Strong SAFETY background very important Must be able to lift 49lbs and/or use of mechanical equipment assist.
