From soft drinks and laundry detergent to salad dressing and motor oil, Plastipak Packaging, Inc. products are the containers of choice for many Fortune 500 companies.  More information about Plastipak can be found at http://www.plastipak.com/. Plastipak is pleased to announce openings for Team Leaders in our Jackson Center, OH facility.  The successful candidate will be responsible for training, motivating and managing the production personnel in their assigned area, on all shifts, in a safe and efficient manner, while ensuring the production of a quality product. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY:1.  Organize, assign, and ensure the training and staffing of personnel according to the production schedule.2.  Review and audit maintenance program, ensuring effectiveness.3.  Manufacturing Representative on Product Team.4.  Co-ordinates and audits line projects.5.  Has full responsibility and authority of Product Team Leader, in their absence.6.  Inspect line set-ups and continuously monitor operations and supplies.7.  Follow and enforce company and local work rules, safety rules, policies and work instructions.8.  Initial employee relations representative.9.  Lead weekly meetings.10.  Act as back-up production technician.11.  Control costs in the areas of quality, efficiency, downtime and scrap.12.  Completion of mandatory logs and reports.13.  Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.14.  Other job related duties as assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1.   Related B.S./B.A. degree or related experience.2.   Strong mathematical and analytical skills as demonstrated by local testing, transcripts, and/or references.3.   Excellent inter-personal skills as demonstrated in the context of the interview process and verifiable references.4.   Strong written communication skills as demonstrated by testing, transcripts, or other designated methods.5.   Strong supervisory skills verifiable through references.6.   Computer (software) literate as verified by transcript or references.  Plastipak offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, vacation and holiday pay, 401(k) matching and more. Plastipak is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
