JOB SUMMARY:Oversees the daily Highway Dispatch and Tracing operations while ensuring customer needs are met. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

§ Facilitates the assignment of Team Members to accounts and duties as issued by the Director

§ Provides highest level of customer service to customers and carriers

§ Demonstrates effective leadership: leads by example, holds team members accountable and promotes customer service

§ Ensures Team Members follow proper procedures when utilizing company technology, systems and training programs

§ Manage daily operational requirements including, but not limited to: personnel training and development, customer orders, carrier capacity, and pricing requests

§ Conduct daily operational meetings to ensure adequate load coverage, margin, goal attainment, scheduling and billing

§ Develop customer pricing initiatives and other assignments as directed by management

§ In conjunction with carrier development initiatives coordinate RFP process, carrier negotiations and meetings

§ Communicate daily operational events to Director and Management as required

§ Assist in the creation of required reports and metrics as needed

§  Assume Directors responsibilities and as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 



§ Minimum 3 years in the transportation industry is required.

§ Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity

§ Significant customer service experience and skills

§ Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills

§ Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word is required

§ Undergraduate degree preferred but not required
