Technical Inside Sales Specialist

This position is a technical inside-sales role with its key function being the identification and communication with target market contacts to introduce the SmartTCP robotic welding solution and set up qualified prospect meetings for VP sales.  This role is a key element in the SmartTCP sales program and covers the whole of the U.S.  The ideal candidate will have a technical background, enjoy interacting with people over the phone and have a driven, competitive spirit.  This position requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain the solution benefits and generate qualified leads based on a set of given criteria.  Opportunity to move to outside sales after proven performance in this role, if so desired.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; closing on meetings for VP Sales and follow. Handle incoming telephone inquiries generated from marketing activities by providing information and qualifying prospects Coordinate logistics for introductory or custom solution demos at our MI facility Update and maintain target account database Other general office duties as required

 

 

Position Requirements: Minimum of 2+ years of inside-sales or technical-sales related experience Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills Proven prospecting skills and ability to meet sales goals Experience with technical equipment a strong plus Demonstrated ability to work as a team player to accomplish established goals Experience with Microsoft Suite and contact management software, ACT preferred Experience working within manufacturing or fabrication environment a plus Able to create weekly status reports Excellent verbal and written communication skills Troubleshooting and problem resolution skills Energetic, quick thinking and persistent with a positive attitude



Salary: $36,000+ yearly, commensurate with experience Competitive health benefits and vacation package
