Searching for a rising star in the Films and the Flexible Packaging Manufacturing with Multiple applications.

Our client is a manufacturer of packaging for the top food, medical, industrial and consumer applications. This leader in innovation and solutions, looks for stars to join its organization.

 

Primary Job Duties Plan and direct equipment and process development projects (existing and new product lines) involving operational effectivenss, equipment well being, material trails, and other systems supporting a Flexible Films operation. Evaluate current equipment processes and procedures to ensure optimal performance. Deliver results in the form of: Smooth operations lamination, printing, and finishing production with minimal quality issues. Capturing of best operating practices.

Support R&D in developing products streamlined with existing mix, developing process conditions for those products, and ensuring issues are resolved timely during scale-up. Lead equipment expansion and improvements in this Converting operation. Manage technical interaction needs and provide external and internal technical liaison Design, implement and validate additional controls on equipment to minimize waste and claims. Provide customer process training Lead customer material returns and investigations Lead customer service control, monitoring & reporting of key measurements Organize customer visits, reporting, and organizational interactions for this top Flexible Packaging organization. Participate in/ sponsor Six Sigma cross-functional teams, representing either Process Engineering or Manufacturing.

Required Skills/Experience Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Excellence or related experience in Film and/or other Flexible Packaging Technical Mangement preferable in Flexible Packaging  applications. Minimum of 8 years of ENGINEERING experience in a packaging material operation. Flexible or Converting application experience is a must. Stand Up Pouch and/or Retort exposure is a plus/  A BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Packaging Science is a ideal. You have to have Flexible Film, Film, or Converting experience and be Quality and Systems minded and demonstrated as such to be considered.
