We are currently looking for the best talent available for a Technical Project Manager with a proven track record in technology based solutions for an international corporation. This Position requires both strong communication and project management skills and is located at our office in New Britain, CT. The Technical Project Manager works with Business Partners to identify and implement small to medium highly technical projects, as defined by Stanley methodology, such as broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development, building enterprise applications or data warehouse planning and development. Directs system analysts, software designers and programmers to determine best methods to achieve project objectives. The Technical Project Manager works with moderate guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. The Technical Project Manager operates within defined parameters using proven project management methodology with flexibility to merge different methodology in accomplishing collective goals. The Technical Project Manager identifies affected parties, business partners, and resources required for a successful project. The Technical Project Manager communicates to stakeholders and project management leadership. The Technical Project Manager requires a thorough understanding of Information Systems and an understanding of the overall organization. The Technical Project Manager seeks out and champions implementation of industry best practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
Major Responsibilities:

Information Technology Abilities:Organize and guide project operations through the use of systems development and project management methodologies accepted by the industryDirect systems analysts, software designers and programmers to determine the best methods to achieve the project’s objectivesWork with disparate departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and supportUse appropriate systems development methodologies to structure and organize the tasks to be completed by the teamEnsure that all technical standards are followed; understand when new technologies need to be evaluatedEvaluate progress and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects
Education/Experience:
Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus, or equivalent technical experience. Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development.Experience working on one or more projects, ideally in a lead role. Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization. Demonstrated application of project management methodology. Knowledge or experience with project management tools, analysis and research tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools.
