AREA OF EXPERTISE:
Assist with creating technical publications required for sales, installation, services and the safe use of Carrier products

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Research the function and operation of the product

* Create and develop technical literature used at point of sale, pre-sale, installation, and start up, service and maintenance

* Assist with coordinating literature activities to meet marketing, engineering and service engineering objectives and strategies.


LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Assigned to small projects or discreet tasks within functional discipline
* Depends upon others for guidance and direction
* Understands key concepts in their discipline
* Review layout art-work and printers proofs for accuracy


EDUCATION:
The ideal candidate will possess technical writing experience in mechanical or electrical trades with knowledge of technical illustrating and graphics and printing production methods.


TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus specialized courses or short-term training (one year or less) with a minimum of 5 years experience
AA/AS degree with 1-3+ years experience
BA/BS degree with 0-2+ years experience


QUALIFICATIONS:
* Intermediate computer skills
* High organizational skills
* Proficient in paying close attention to detail
* Ability to communicate ideas and concepts at appropriate levels
* Ability to organize written material
* Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience
* Ability to type, layout, proofread and copy written material
