Position Summary: Responsible for the Commissioning and Technical activities of the wind turbines. Manages all areas of commissioning and site maintenance as directed by the CRO Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
• With the client: responsible for attending to the to the client at the Wind Farm. Verify and confirm completion of the contract with the client, establishing a channel of communication with the staff in charge of the production and operation of the Wind Farm and identify the availability objectives. Communicates the programs of execution of works with the client.
• With the subcontracted companies: verify the fulfillment of the contract between Gamesa Wind US and the subcontracted companies assigned to the wind farm. Coordinate activities with the management representative from the subcontracted companies. Create detailed schedule of all work on the wind farm.
• Verify training, knowledge and documentation of the subcontractors assigned to the wind farm. Daily supervision of the subcontractor activities and assisting in maintenance efforts.
• Control and execution of the scheduled maintenance, scheduled corrective actions, and scheduled retrofits.
• Perform mechanical and component testing and repairs as needed.
• Travel to various projects to perform commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot complicated anomalies within turbine generator systems.
• Ability to work up to 70 hours per week, as needed, to meet project schedules.




• High School Diploma required; technical, associates, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to climb wind turbines and work outdoors under extreme weather conditions.
• Familiarity with voltage testers, multimeters, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, infrared testers, voltage test procedures, lock out/tag out, electric static discharge, hydraulics, accumulator charging, crane hand signals, soldering, fasteners, torque, hytorques, fiber optics.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 70%
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
