Providing temperature-controlled environments for food and other perishables are essential in today’s global market. Through our Climate Control Technologies sector and Thermo King and Hussmann brands, we provide global solutions for the transportation and retail refrigeration market.





We are currently seeking an experienced Technician Recruiter at our Eastern Region location.



This position encompasses the following :


Position covers the Eastern Region and reports to the Director of Global Staffing & Workforce Planning with a matrix reporting relationship to Region HR Manager.
Develop and implement technician recruitment strategies to satisfy Branch Technician manpower requirements.
During a calendar year recruit and hire 80 - 150 technicians.
Maintain current knowledge of best recruitment practices within Ingersoll-Rand and within the refrigeration, diesel, hydraulic and heavy equipment industries. Recommend recruitment strategies based upon best practices and prior recruiting experience.
Leverage technical professional organizations (e.g., Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute, etc.) to promote Ingersoll Rand, Hussmann, and Thermo King, as the preferred employer of technical service professionals.
Promote and facilitate branch/dealer/distributor involvement with local technical colleges to foster mutually-beneficial partnerships.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key technical colleges, military outplacement and other sources of both experienced and inexperienced refrigeration technicians.
Work collaboratively with Retail Human Resources to create and deliver programs and actions resulting in decreased technician turnover.
Participate and/or lead continuous improvement efforts (kaizens, greenbelt projects)to improve the technician staffing process and generate greater results.
Conduct training to Branch personnel on interview techniques, retention practices and talent management programs. Participate in employee orientations as requested.



Qualifications :

Ability to manage 75% travel (car and airplane )
Strong communication and alliance building skills and superior influence skills.
Effective planning and organizational skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
