Territory Manager - Missouri

Principal Role:

Add value for Dixon Retailers and Husqvarna by cultivating a business relationship that facilitates each business partner’s growth, optimal performance, and success. Secure and develop new dealers that help meet sales and market-share goals for the territory. Plan, enhance, and measure the performance of assigned dealers.  Service dealers and be prepared for daily travel, with overnight travel as required.

 

Essential Duties:

·  Develop a plan to increase company brand position in assigned territory.

·  Gain dealers commitment & orders

·  Make planned dealer-calls and chronicle the discussions and outcomes of the visits.

·  Demonstrate equipment and provide product application learning opportunities.

·  Facilitate the success of sales, marketing, and promotional campaigns.

·  Acquaint dealers with the latest selling techniques.

·  Be familiar with dealer inventory levels and provoke adjustments as required.

·  Present Dixon at trade, industry, and dealer shows.

·  Call on designated National Retailers and other accounts as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

· Education & Training:

o Preferred applicants should have a verifiable record of above average performance and reliability with some college or post-high-school training. They should have strong sales experience and building personal relationship skills.   Three to five years of Outdoor Power Equipment, Lawn & Garden, or related experience is preferred. Strong sales and closing skills, including competence in cold calling, is preferred. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a high energy level and will exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills. Selected candidates will likely be organized and disciplined with goal-oriented drives. The candidate must be computer proficient and fluent with MS-Office programs.

·  Business experience:

o Qualified applicants must demonstrate a verifiable record of high performance and exceptional reliability in outside sales. Should have a proven track record of building personal relationship with customers while increasing sales volume, cold calling, and closing skills. Presentation skills and computer/software acumen are a must. Be able to develop extensive product application knowledge. Must be prepared for extensive travel.
