Territory Sales Manager
Summary (Purpose), Nature, and Scope of Position: The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for developing and establishing sales relationships with value added resellers and OEM accounts of Cooper Tools, Inc. in the assigned territory. The TSM is accountable for meeting sales targets and will travel throughout the assigned territory to develop business. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Responsible for building and expanding relationships within the client base to provide ongoing customer service and a strong revenue stream.2. Pro actively listen to and understand the customer’s needs and identify viable solutions and business opportunities.3. Develop and manage a sales plan and strategy for assigned accounts and territories.4. Communicate with the Marketing Team and all internal infrastructures to support overall business goals and to develop a list of target accounts in the Hand Tools, fittings and chain business.5. Maintain current knowledge on competitive products and prices related to applications of all Hand Tools, fittings and chain products.6. Attend Industry Trade shows to gain product knowledge, establish relationships within the sales territory, and report any market trends while gathering information and competitive samples for sales and marketing management. 7. TSM will travel approximately 60% of the time in a specific region calling on distributors, OEM accounts and end users. The TSM will complete periodic reports to summarize activity within the territory, complaints, trends, competitive actions and any recommendations to improve productivity. Will also be responsible for biweekly expense reports and monthly performance reports. Education, Experience, Skills and Training Required: A four year BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent of 10 or more years experience, and proven sales results within the hand tools/hardware/chain industry or related industrial sales experience. Must have a clear understanding of the Industrial Distribution and OEM markets. Strong written and verbal, good presentation and computer skills, and the ability to work independently while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
