Thin Film Process Engineer

The Thin Film Process Engineer provides process engineering support for all IR thin film manufacturing areas, i.e. thin film deposition, thin film parts cleaning, thin film material processing and thin film engineering.This process engineering support is carried out through “hands-on” engineering in the manufacturing areas providing data collection and analysis, process control, documentation and troubleshooting. The core responsibility is to sustain existing processes by achieving a good understanding of all thin film processes and standard specification. Also provide engineering support to Singapore thin film manufacturing facility. Work towards developing deterministic manufacturing in the thin film area.

Requires minimum of a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, along with experience as a process engineer supporting highly technical manufacturing environment. Special abilities include knowledge of TQM and SPC techniques, hands on problem solving skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to learn surface sciences and metrology.
