Tool Designer

OUR CLIENT –  A specialty tool shop in the Fox Cities area is looking for a Tool Designer.  RESPONSIBILITIES –  ·  Plans and designs tooling components and devices·  Designs and redesigns machine components·  Prepares layouts, drawings and specifications·  Conducts design review with external customers·  Assists and provides support to Tool and Die makers / machinists·  Evaluates and tests new tooling·  Interact Program Manager, Tool Design Supervisor and Machining Shop Supervisor·  Serve as a technical resource for production·  Perform all duties as assigned by the Tool Design Supervisor QUALIFICIATIONS –  ·  Experience using Solid Works (version 2006-2008), 3 – 5 years minimum a MUST·  Good communication skills working with external customers·  Able to print, read and understand engineering documents·  Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)·  High level non-degree Tool Engineering ·  Completion of a technical / trade school program in mechanical design ·  Preferred 3 – 5 years experience in tooling design·  Journeyman Toolmakers card “not mandatory”  **  If you feel your background is a match for this position, please submit your resume to Mary Ann Bazile, maryannb@mrappleton.com .  Reference code MO1983.  **    MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
