Tooling / Project Engineer

Mueller Industries, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Tooling / Project Engineer at their Portage, MI  plastic injection molding facility. 

 

Job Description:

  Manage and maintain existing injection molds with a high focus on prioritizing needs that best leverage costs / performance. Manage and develop tooling sources to improve output per capital dollar invested. Identify emerging technology that can provide competitive advantages in the industry. Be a coordination point for gathering design input from all facets of the organization to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and participate on other projects as required within the engineering team.

 

Key Skills Required:

  Four year degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Excellent Microsoft EXCEL, WORD and POWER POINT skills. Working knowledge of Auto CAD / Solid Works or ProE is a must. Strong mechanical and financial aptitude. Motivated individual that will be part of a dynamic cross-functional engineering team. Occasional travel to suppliers and other plastics locations will be required.
