Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, the Quality Leader will be part of the general management team with a mandate to drive strategic quality initiatives that are aligned with Altec’s corporate goals and objectives.  Working with the leadership team across the organization and liaising with customers and suppliers, the Quality Leader will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing continuous quality improvement initiatives and processes across the organization from manufacturing and final assembly to operations, sales, service and into the general business functions. The Quality Leader will identify improvement opportunities and provide necessary leadership to make higher quality standards a competitive advantage for Altec.

 

The ideal candidate possesses senior quality leadership experience in an organization that is well recognized for its progressive approach to customers and quality management.  This experience will preferably be gained in a complex, large, heavy manufacturing company. A university degree is required; an engineering degree or MBA would be an asset. From a personal perspective, the ideal candidate is a results-oriented, strategic leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can empower change throughout an organization. He/she has a passion for the business, is committed to excellence and maintains high degree of integrity in all business and interpersonal dealings.
