Trading Assistant

 

Brazilian Broker-Dealer in Stamford CT seeks an experienced, self-starter to join its investment team!  We are looking for a well-organized, resourceful individual who wants to learn the business and grow with the company.

 

Major Job Duties:

This position provides trade support to the Trading team, in addition to providing support to the CEO.  This includes answering and routing phone calls/taking messages; Preparing client communications; Arranging travel; Organizing and setting-up client meetings (which may include ordering breakfast/lunch for meetings); Preparing T&E expense reports; Ordering office supplies and maintaining office equipment. In addition to these general support duties, the candidate will be responsible for updating and maintaining daily profit and loss spreadsheets, helping to set up new traders, and vendor management.


Responsibilities for right candidate may grow to include performing trade confirmations, handling position reconciliations, and much more!

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Bachelors degree in Finance or Economics

Strong interest in and/or knowledge of the investment market

At least 1-2 yrs. experience working for a hedge fund/financial services co.; If recent grad, intern experience ok

Desire to pursue career in a trading environment

Excellent communication skills

Fluency in Portuguese strongly preferred, but not required

PC proficient (Word, Excel)

Strong attention to detail, accuracy and work quality

Must be a team player with a proactive approach to work
