Position Summary :

OVERALL MISSION

 

­ The Training Coordinator’s primary objective is to initiate, organize and deliver some training in the form of courses, workshops, seminars, and coaching and any additional needs as identified by the plant management team.

­ Provide coordination and implementation of technical and corporate initiated training. 

­ Support the training needs analyses process to assist in the development of training plans.

­ Monitors and tracks employee’s development,  overall effectiveness of training,  and on the job application

­ Assists in the development and management of the sites training budgets including monthly reviews and forecasting.

­ Works closely with the CTS Technical Training organization to ensure alignment of standards and best practices for manufacturing development.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

 

­ Supports the needs analysis and gap assessment process in order to determine individual development priorities

­ Design, develop and deliver some training in the form of courses, workshops and seminars

­ Serves as a technical resource for programs that are developed and presented locally.

­ Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the programs.

­ Directs planning and organization of all training programs offered; capitalizing on the economics of scale that cross-plant coordination can provide.

­ Interacts with external training consultants to identify and customize course objectives and content.

­ Makes arrangements for further education and monitors the progress of attendees.

­ Supervises the maintenance of accurate training records, monitoring costs, and maintaining budgetary control of all training activities.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Educational Background :

­ BS degree in an Organizational Development, Education, Engineering/related field

 

 

Experience :

3-5 years of manufacturing and coordinating function experience. 

­ Must be able to demonstrate influencing skills at all levels of the organization. 

­ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint.

­ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or assignments.

­ Self motivated with excellent analytical skills.
