We deliver industry-leading tactical vehicles, vehicle armor, body armor, helmets, aircraft armor, seating systems, air bag systems and individual equipment. We are dedicated to research and development investment to anticipate the survivability needs of the warfighter and their vehicle, utilizing the most advanced metal, ceramic and composite technologies available. Manages, develops, conducts and coordinates the company’s Training, Development & Compliance Program to include the Company’s standards. Assist Director in the estimation of needed annual budget. Training-- formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods. Oversee execution of new hire orientation and training sessions covering specified areas, to test trainees and report on their progress. Supervise maintenance of associated records reported to Human Resources. Work closely with Management team in developing and implementing these processes for their departments. Ensure all ISO, state, federal, & company training requirements are met. Manage and facilitate the educational reimbursement program and assist/administer all BAE Systems required courseware. - May design/suggest organizational development programs along with researching new training techniques and/or suggesting enhancements to existing programs. - Manage the Training & Development area to include internal, external, and inter-company courseware. - Confer with management to identify ideal and actual performance, and performances conditions and determine causes of discrepancies (may conduct training surveys to evaluate needs.) - Interface with Corporate to assist and facilitate cost effective training & development that meets the needs. - Formulate teaching outline and determine and coordinate instructional methods. - Approach new vendors and/or work with current vendors to obtain the training/development products required. - Develop and select teaching aids such as training/development handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works. - Conduct and facilitate training/development sessions. - Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. - Develop and report training/development metrics. - Report on progress of employees. - Manage the new hire orientation process and review occasionally for development. - Assure all ISO Quality Management System training requirements are being fulfilled by the Training/Development area; be prepared for internal and external audits. - Prepare objectives, define content and select training/development course work. - Support the direction of the total organization in the area of training & development. - Keep aware of industry changes and incorporate into company methodology. - Supervise the maintenance of training/development records submitted to HR. - Ensure compliance to record keeping, state, company & federal requirements as required in Human Resources - Must be able to travel - Must be highly skilled and able to present to large groups of both line employees and senior management. - Work closely with Director of Human Resources on strategic initiatives to support the business. Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years related Training & Development experience. Familiar associated regulations pertaining to training & development and compliance in Human Resources fundamentals. Strong HR knowledge is desired. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have effective presentation skills appropriate for all levels of the organization. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; be able to enhance and influence opinions through effective communication; must be computer literate (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations); experience in a manufacturing environment is required; and be able to handle all levels of personnel professionally and effectively.
