VICE PRESIDENT OF CREATIVE MARKETING

We are a marketing, distribution, product development, branding, creative packaging, sourcing and manufacturer’s rep firm specializing in consumer products, originating from China and elsewhere, for the retail industry. We have an exciting opportunity for the position of Vice President of Creative Marketing to join our staff.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Creative Marketing is responsible for the creative strategy and direction for the company. The Vice President of Creative Marketing oversees the entire creative marketing team both domestically and internationally.
Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for ensuring that marketing and branding strategies have strong ROI from either a sales, profitability, IP, or brand perspective, or any combination thereof and are aligned with overall corporate goals and objectives. Sets the company vision and strategy around:
o Creative Direction
o Company Branding
o Public Relations
o Merchandising
o Promotions
· Works closely with the Product Marketing team to discuss and interpret their needs; and oversees the design concepts, artwork and execution for/of the following:
o Industrial Design
o Packaging development innovation and direction
o Customer and consumer communications
o Product renderings
o Logo use and development
o Branding initiatives
o Color management
o In-store signage concepts
· Partners with cross-functional teams such as sales and product marketing to enable creative marketing to be integrated into the company’s overall business strategies
· Leads the team to think creatively to produce new ideas; use innovation to create a design brief and meet the constraints of cost, time and client needs
· Responsible for all project timelines and aspects of the production process, ensuring the timely delivery of projects
· Oversees the coordination of free-lance resources
· Develops the creative budget, obtains approval and follows up with ongoing performance reporting to executive management team
· Maintains trend forward cognizance to the company
· By his/her knowledge and actions, instills confidence and credibility to key company and industry stakeholders
· Builds, leads and develops the creative team in a professional, respectful and empowering manner
· Implements best practices and effects change, where necessary, to align marketing with the overall company’s mission and vision
· Updates senior management weekly on status of all projects
· Acts as a thought-partner with members of senior executive management
· Acts as a leader within the division and Griffin International
· Performs all other duties as assigned or required
Position Requirements
· 4-Year Business Degree or equivalent vocational degree in graphic arts/design
· 8-10 years experience in creative, with 3- 5 years experience leading a creative team
· Consumer product marketing or retail experience a plus
· Must have good presentation skills and good oral and written communications skills
· Ability to interface with all departments and levels within the company as well as outside vendors
· Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Team approach, and can work well with people at all levels
