VP of Strategic Accounts

Bush Industries, Inc. is the world's product leader in the design, development, and manufacture of high-quality Ready-to-Assemble furniture for the business and home office markets.  Our North American Headquarters is located in Jamestown, in the beautiful western NY area. Bush Industries, Inc. has facilities located in New York, Pennsylvania, Germany, and China. The company sells products through approximately 10,000 retail outlets, including furniture and department stores, office products and electronic retailers, and mass merchandisers.

 

Bush Industries, Inc. has an immediate need for a Vice President of Strategic Accounts, for our office in Erie, PA. We are seeking a qualified individual to promote Bush Logistics services to businesses with diverse transportation needs.  Incumbent will be in daily contact with customers of various sizes, building relationships, problem solving and assessing their needs. The VP of Strategic Accounts will solicit new business from shippers, be responsible for increasing revenue production, develop third party logistics opportunities in the Erie, PA market, focus on new opportunities for less than truckload consolidation of multiple customers into truckload shipments out of the Erie, PA facility, build truckload traffic, recruit new agents to become service providers and revenue generators for the Bush Logistics network, and provide operational and sales support to the agency network.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sell the company’s various services by making daily sales visits to potential and prospective companies.

· Create opportunities from potential and existing customers and generate new business for the company.

· Pre-plan sales activities in the designated sales territory.

· Contact current customers and prospects to present the company’s various services.

· Perform regular daily visits to qualified customers in accordance with Management’s directives.

· Sell aggressively the company’s various services.

· Qualify and update new sales leads.

· Generate new business and revenues according to sales targets.

· Effectively pursue solid relationships with strategic accounts to create great revenue opportunities.

· Coordinate with operations to ensure proper account servicing.

· Ensure that all customer complaints are recorded and acted upon in timely manner.

· Perform all other duties as assigned and requested by management.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

· BA/BS in Business, Logistics, with a minimum of 5 years experience in outside sales of 3PL a must.

· Excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Computer knowledge, including Word, Excel and Outlook Express.

· Must be self-motivated, disciplined with strong leadership, and proven success in relationship development.

· A customer-driven attitude with a reputation for exceeding expectations.
