We are an equal opportunity employer. Purpose:To manage NPI projects, for a given engine/turbocharger range. Critique and recommend improvements to VPI and APQP process. Share best practices with other programme managers and leaders. To do this will require the leading of a cross-functional and sometimes international team with a minimum of direct management. Team will normally be made up of non-direct reports. Emphasis is on the management of internal processes and direct linkages with Customer Program timing issues.Key Responsibilities: Program Management' Manage entire programme via 'M' review process ' hold team accountable to the M review/APQP process and ensure projects fall within scope of product plan guidelines' Eliminate barriers to team progress within/outside team' Head the decision making process set pace, encourage input, deal with conflict ambiguity' Work with product/account team leaders, to ensure right processes are in place to meet customer needs fully and quickly ' Remove barriers to integration across functional perspectives' Develop understanding of key customers overall NPI programmes and ensure consistency with Holset NPI projects' Develop meaningful measures and report progress against them Functional/Technical Skills:5 years association with new product introduction (combination of e.g. technical/sales/commercial)Degree or equivalent (tech/business)Numeracy and literacyMarket sector knowledgeMain characteristics of customer baseAutomotive industry knowledgeAPQPQuality/Improvement Skills:Time ManagementAssessment/measurementFunctional Excellence (CMS)Problem SolvingMulti-national knowledgeProject ManagementIntegrityAttention to DetailTeamwork:Leading Continuous ImprovementEmpowerment/InvolvementMeeting managementStrategic thinkingSelf managingAbility to focus a team on deadlinesLeadership:Flexibility/AdaptabilityFacilitating Team performanceConfidence and IndependencePersonal developmentListening and PatienceOral & written skills InitiativeJudgement Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
