Validation Technician - Thermal/Power Test

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration: 2+ to 5 Years Pay Rate: 20.00 - 23.00 USD /year Job Description: Working closely with Validation Engineers, the candidate performs validation testing on memory modules installed in platforms inside thermal chambers using DOS based software. The candidate should have strong background on building computers, be familiar with computer hardware and must have good soldering skills. Candidate should also have sufficient understanding of DRAM/DIMM and different memory technologies. Prepares documentation and provides engineers with status update on validation testing. Candidate should have good knowledge of using SW such as Microsoft Windows, Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Must have good communication skills, be able to learn fast, work well with others and in a tense environment. Most important is that they have epxerience with Power Supplies. The Thermal exp is a bonus. Looking for someone wiht EE or Mech Engineer degree or equivalent exp. Important to have bench test experience. Some hand soldering skills are required. Main job is operating equipment and do testing. Must be able to read specs. Spectrum Analyzer is a tool as well.  Education and Experience: Equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and two years of general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above .  Power supply exp is fine, donm't need thermal.
