The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to Springdale Operations and manage daily manufacturing operations, and drive SQDC improvements within the department that will add value to the Danaher Tool Group.
Through the deployment of fiscal and human resources incumbent is responsible for achieving Corporate, Tool Group and plant goals through the implementation of the Danaher Business System.
Key Responsibilities
Associate Recruitment, Development, Review, and Discipline.
Maintenance of policy deployment for area including Bowling charts, action plans and countermeasures.
Ensure associate compliance with company policies and procedures.
Determine Staffing levels and implement adjustments as needed.
Use and promote DBS to drive continuous improvement through Kaizen.
Develop and monitor operational budget.
Lead and monitor projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.
Build an environment of teamwork.
Drive problem solving to root cause correction.
Lead 5S initiatives to improve department environment and efficiency.
Background and Skill
Experience should include 3-5 years of hands-on supervisory experience, combined with a strong business/systems background in manufacturing operations, leadership skills, accounting/finance. Minimum formal education required: Bachelor's Degree. Master’s Degree preferred. Training to meet job expectations would take six months for someone to meet basic job requirements. Basic knowledge of manufacturing, techniques and practices is required, e.g. scheduling & planning, understanding of budgets, TQM, JIT, and lean manufacturing. Personal Computer skills are essential to performing detailed analysis. The most successful candidate would have excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving skills, team building skills, and time management skills.
