In partnership with the operating businesses, this leader is responsible for the developing the Terex Global Operations strategic plan and associated optimal global manufacturing footprint. Terex team members work in over 200 sites around the world, including sales/service offices, warehousing locations and manufacturing plants. Terex operates 60 significant plants sites located in approximately equal numbers between the U.S, Europe and the rest of the world. This role will also be responsible for managing our Capital Expenditure plan in conjunction with business and finance leaders throughout Terex, including corporate oversight of significant projects globally. This leader reports to the President & COO and is a member of the President's & COO leadership team. • Fifteen or more years of global operations experience, heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred. • Plant Manager and multi-plant operations experience. • Direct experience leading operations spanning multiple geographic poles (e.g. NA, Europe, Asia) • Prior experience leading a significant restructuring of a global manufacturing footprint. • Prior experience leading a Greenfield plant start-up. • Prior experience leading a plant shutdown and plant move. • Strong operating knowledge of lean manufacturing. • BS degree in engineering - MS or MBA preferred. • Must have the ability to lead change and have strong consultative/influencing skills. • Must possess business/financial acumen, be customer focused and a strategic thinker. • Strong influencing and leadership skills.
