Vice-President, Sales and Marketing
POSITION PURPOSE: Position Aquafine as the vendor of choice through increased exposure with our customer base and improve distributor and OEM coverage and support. The Position is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to grow Aquafine’s business and manage, direct, motivate a sales staff to meet the strategic goals of the profit plan to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Position is responsible for domestic and international accounts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
§ Develops a business plan.
§ Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
§ Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
§ Provide leadership and direction in an effective sales report that addresses the issues and opportunities within Aquafine market segments. Assure that the quality of these reports is informative, meaningful, and “accountable.”
§ Directly train and motivate your individual department’s subordinates in the performance of their duties, to ensure overall department effectiveness and control, effective expense controls, and superior technical service (applications, proposals, product and technical support).
§ Develops and recommends product positioning, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
§ Develop, build, and train a distributor, OEM network to increase market share while evaluating and recommending distribution channel development programs. Develops direct sales channels to increase sales.
§ Develops pricing policy and pricing strategy.
§ Grow existing distributor/representative network through an “organized” expansion program and support existing distributors, through market, product and technical training presentations.
§ Direct the development of Distributor/OEM policies and procedures and execute exclusive territory account goals and objectives. Set targets, and continually manage them to improve their overall effectiveness.
§ Increase Aquafine’s exposure by key OEM visits and application/technical support. Increase our understanding of market and product concerns.
§ Determine specific budget requirements to meet the operating and expense guidelines.
§ Prepare and maintain an account sales forecast that will meet the requirements of the company and provide a 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month rolling forecast.
§ Assist in the Development of joint alliances with third world countries (i.e. China, India, etc.). Expand our product offerings through older technology and discontinued product lines if necessary.
§ Up to 60% travel required.
§ Determine and establish specific trade shows that Aquafine should be considering attending. Only trade shows that meet our specific industry segment should be considered. Trade show attendance is necessary.
§ Variations of the above duties may be required depending on conditions of company and department business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs tin order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
EDUCATION:
BS/BA in Science or equivalent. MBA degree or higher preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in managing a Sales, Marketing, distributor/representative organization. Water treatment industry experience is required.
Must have good domestic and International trade and commercial management experience.
Must be self-motivated and aggressive.
Must be able to establish and develop strategic business and marketing plans. Multi-lingual is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess good computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
Must be able to travel approximately 60%.
