Vice President of Human Resources

St. Louis based Manufacturing/distribution Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources.  Organization is comprised of  several domestic and international facilities.

 

The ideal candidate for this position must be a self motivated change agent responsible for the overall provisions of employee relations, health, safety, benefits, recruitment and selection, affirmative action, performance and compensation management, training and development and administration of HR policies, procedures and processes for the entire organization. This position acts as a driving force within the organization to motivate employees through effective teamwork to provide a better quality service and product.

 

This position will report to the C.E.O. and will enjoy a competitive base salary, incentive and benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life and disability, and 401(k) plan.  Only candidates meeting minimum requirements and providing salary history will be considered.  There is no relocation package associated with this position; local candidates are preferred.  This position requires approximately 20% travel.

 

Qualifications/requirements:Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field;  Advanced Degree preferredPHR certification;  SPHR certification preferred10+ years progressive experience in Human Resources administration with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a senior leadership roleStrong knowledge  and experience in the areas of compensation, employee relations, performance management, employment law, planning and project management; preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong process and analytical skillsExcellent listening, consultation and problem solving skillsStrong verbal/written communication skillsStrong team building skills with the ability to identify needs within the organizationAbility to develop strong positive interpersonal relationships at all levels within the organization and be an integral member of the executive team



.Responsibilities: Manage HR policies, procedures and processesServe as Human Resources Business partner of senior leadership team to support human resources business needs within the organization and is responsible for integrating strategic and overall corporate programs Improve employee engagement and employee relations through pro-active programs, including leadership development and training, supervisory and management training and stimulate employee involvement in all areas where the employee can make a differenceImplement and monitor performance management processes and coordinate training and development programs to achieve overall company objectivesManage workers compensation and associated employee safety and welfare mattersDevelop and track Human Resources Key Performance IndicatorsConsults with management to develop appropriate HR strategy and to assure the optimum delivery of all desired HR programs in support of management objectivesWorks closely and collaboratively with all departments within the organization to assure consistency and effectiveness of HR supportLeads/manages HR initiatives and project teams to ensure optimal design and implementation of initiatives, utilizing strong team and leadership capabilitiesLeads and provides coaching and mentoring to HR staff within the business unit
