WALLCOVERING/WALLPAPER DESIGNER STYLIST

Experienced Wallcovering Designer/Stylist needed for established manufacturer in Rockaway, NJ

We are currently looking for a committed individual with positive/energetic attitude to join our design studio team.; The designer should have an understanding and appreciation for the influences of interior design trends.; A successful designer helps to create commercially viable products- To that end, the individual should have the ability and desire to manage the wallcovering lines from creative inception through initial productions so timelines are met.; The following aspects of duties within our Design Studio team are listed below:

Job description:Help create wallcovering collections primarily for the high-end commercial contract market. Engage in every aspect from creating/purchasing design content, altering repeats, coloring, production and marketing.; Put together presentation boards and occasionally travel to present concepts to clients. Collaborate with Design Director and studio to develop new concepts.; Research market trends and present the information to studio.; Recolor existing/new designs with AVA cad program, and contribute ideas towards color placement and balance.; Will work directly with strike-off production crew to achieve and approve finished product. Responsible for generating standards to manufacturing division for production.; Responsible for the filing of copyrights and other general studio requirements. Attend wallcovering line planning meetings in order to facilitate the timely launch of the line. Manage the workflow of the wallcovering line from creative inception through initial production so timelines are met.





Job Requirements:The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years experience in the interior fashion and or textile industry.; Must have experience in Mac, Photoshop, Illustrator and AVA cad.; Should be energetic, self-motivated, organized and have good communication skills.; Must be able to articulate ideas clearly and inspire.; Must have excellent color sense. Strong forecasting abilities and knowledge of market trends for design and color.; Needs to work well in a team environment. Must present portfolio.;
