Warehouse Superintendent

You will direct staff within facility to fill customer orders and ensure on time departures. Ensure that all safety policies are adhered to.  Assist hourly staff with any inventory or serialization problems that arise.  Direct leadperson to assist with the operation of the shift. Review attendance and performance of associates.  Perform annual review of associates. Verify loads that are outside the allowable range.  Inform facility manager of any issues with product liability.  Address any safety issues that arise during the shift.  Monitor the facility to ensure employee and product safety. Review monthly P&L to identify ways to eliminate overtime and expenses. Ability to supervise a staff of 50 and 2 supervisors. Ability to review all inbound and outbound operations and determine needed staff for workflow. Meet with supervisors and direct them to meet goals within facility. Communicate with other facilities to improve flow of equipment and product. Work directly with Director to review customer issues and take corrective action to improve overall performance. Take active role in any product recall or liability issues. Candidate must have a High School diploma or GED. College preferred. 2-5 years background in distribution. Good math and written skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Ability to operate pallet jack, dock stocker, highlift. Ability to use ROC scan guns to select orders. Must be able to work in cold temperatures. Must be able to handle associates conflicts and issues. Work well with all levels of management. Good communication skills. Ability to work any shift.
