Warehouse Supervisor 3rd shift

Position Summary:

By performing the following duties, the Warehouse Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventory control of shipping materials, supplies, equipment and parts in the warehouse operation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored.Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping stock; and related problems.Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow-moving and excess stock.Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures to determine adequacy of stock levels.Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.Enforces all GMP’s.Abides by Nation Pizza Products SOP’s.Maintains a harmonious atmosphere with all departments and assures prompt attention to our customers’ needs.Promotes a safe work environment through training and implementation.Directly supervises all shift employees by delegating responsibilities effectively and promoting teamwork within the warehouse department as well as between all other departments. Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety related issues to Management.Performs other related duties as assigned.

               

Essential Skills and Experience:

Education:

·  Must have 3 to 5 years previous warehouse supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Skills and Experience:

·  Previous RF experience with bar coding and automatic data collection helpful.

·  The ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, within and outside of the organization is critical.  Bilingual (Spanish) helpful.

·  Must be able to gather and analyze all types of data, identify the appropriate relationships between the different data and make the appropriate recommendations to management based on the analysis of the data.

·  A forklift certification is required from Nation Pizza Products within thirty days of employment. Completion of warehouse training systems and operations required within sixty days of employment.

·  Must be familiar and comfortable with a personal computer.

Work Environment:

·  All positions within this department are required to work in a temperature-controlled environment and are, at times, exposed to temperatures ranging from below 0 degrees F. to over 90 degrees F.

 

Organizational Structure:

Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager/Warehouse Assistant Manager.
