CORPORATE WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR

 

Olin Corporation is a manufacturer concentrated in two business segments:  Chlor Alkali Products and Winchester.  Chlor Alkali Products manufactures chlorine and caustic soda, sodium hydrosulfite, hydrochloric acid, hydrogen, potassium hydroxide and bleach products.  Winchester products include sporting ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components, and industrial cartridges.  Position is located at our Joliet, IL facility.  Relocation expenses are unavailable.

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive)

Monitor reactor tank flows and chemical additions.  Successful candidate will maintain log sheets.  Must maintain and monitor the compressors and air dryer in the treatment plant.  Collect samples for testing.  Perform analytical test and preventative maintenance on equipment.  Make necessary adjustment to the pH in the water.  Drive a truck to various pump stations and treatment facilities.  Rate of pay is $23.95 an hour.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (not all inclusive)

Candidate must be at least 18 years old.  Minimum of one-year experience and/or education related to wastewater, utilities, or plumbing. Must have strong mathematical, mechanical, and analytical skills. Position requires climbing stairs and lifting up to 80 pounds.  Valid driver license is required.  Candidate must work independently and be detailed oriented.  Position can consist of exposure to wet, humid, and extreme temperatures. Rotating shifts Monday through Friday and overtime as needed. A history of excellent attendance record is required.
