Welding Engineer

Alliance Compressors, a joint venture between Emerson Climate/Copeland ( http://www.gotoemerson.com), Lennox ( http://www.lennox.com), and Trane ( http://www.trane.com) engages in the high volume manufacturing of air compressors for the AC industry.

Job Skills:
The night shift Welding Engineer will manage both small and large capital projects.

Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow.

Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency, optimum cost and safe operation.

Participate in solving daily production challenges regarding manual and automatic welding equipment.

Monitor and report welding process metrics and provide corrective actions to resolve issues.

Work closely with management and members of production, engineering and maintenance teams.

Requirements:
BSME with a concentration in welding, plus 5 years experience with welding processes in a high volume manufacturing environment.

MIG, TIG and Resistance welding principals, equipment, set ups and fabrication.

Beneficial experience includes weld system and tooling design, robotics, inertia welding, ACAD, PLC, statistical methods and fundamentals of lean manufacturing
