We never quit and we always strive to achieve balance among economic, social and environmental interests.  JOB DESCRIPTION: Plan, map, sequence and perform assembly of complex electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment from verbal and written instructions.  Perform layout of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical schematics. Perform a variety of high level diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly equipment or automation.  Make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic repairs to assembly equipment or automation.  Give input to engineering staff for areas of machine improvements.  Keep accurate reports of all activities performed on each piece of equipment. In some divisions is responsible for technical/mechanical and process trouble shooting duties that may arise within a dedicated machine or group of machines within his/her area of responsibility. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school; five to eight years experience in assembly and/or operation of production automation assembly equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be knowledgeable of automation equipment operation and safety systems.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Trouble shoot and assist in prove out complex and unusual electrical, mechanical or pneumatic equipment. Interpret operator interface systems and alarm code.  Take appropriate levels of action to correct. Recommend changes, alternative and solutions to resolve problems. Use a variety of hand tools, gages, instruments, meters and measuring tools to perform duties. Record all performed equipment tasks on appropriate logs or forms. Use standard or custom measuring gauges to insure conformance to quality specifications of manufactured components.  Gauges may include digital calipers, digital indicators and fixed gauges. Monitor daily yields, efficiencies and quality levels for equipment within his/her area of responsibility.  Take appropriate corrective actions to maintain predetermined levels for yield, efficiency and quality. Install, debug and perform startup functions on projects for new equipment/automation.
