Today, CertainTeed is North America's leading brand of exterior and interior building products, including roofing, siding, windows, fence, decking, railing, trim, foundations, pipe, insulation, walls, ceilings and access covers.Job Purpose:The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiative, part of the 7i program, involves implementing WCM across all sites. This exciting global initiative is key to the Group's future. We are seeking a WCM Facilitator to actively ensure that the CertainTeed Gypsum Moundsville plant has appropriate capabilities and relevant implementation plans to deliver World-Class Manufacturing objectives within the required deadlines.Accountabilities Include:•To ensure World Class Manufacturing operating standards are designed and implemented proposing any changes in working practices, new process and plant developments.•Support the management team in the review of progress and the identification and implementation of countermeasures to ensure the World Class Manufacturing program is achieved.•Collect, collate and analyze data to chart progress of the plant against the World Class Manufacturing plan, recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances.•Ensure communications are fully deployed and answers to questions/points of clarification are actioned on a timely basis to deliver the required understanding and commitment to WCM.•Train employees as required in the approach, tasks and techniques of WCM and review effectiveness of the training.•Coach and support teams to enable them to meet the deadlines of the World Class Manufacturing program milestone plan.•In liaison with Engineering, Technical and Operational functions define, establish, fully deploy and continuously improve "best practice" for process, engineering or working procedures across the site.•Track benefits of the program across the site and report cumulative progress to the local Management Team and Regional WCM Facilitator•Manages the budgets approved for the launch of the program in the plant, both in terms of expenses and capital investment •She or he reports to the Plant Manager and coordinates her/his initiatives with the Regional WCM Manager•The complexity of the job comes from the level of knowledge and experience in the plant about WCM and the different aspects it involves.•The launch of WCM may mean a big change in the plant organization in terms of culture, management systems and technology that needs a high level of management commitment and people's involvement.•Dealing with frequent resistance to change is a key implication of the job and demands strong skills of team building and coaching.•The complexity of the job comes from the level of knowledge and experience in the plant about WCM and the different aspects it involves.•The launch of WCM will mean a big change in traditional plant organizations in terms of culture, management systems and technology that needs a high level of Team commitment and people's involvement.•Dealing with frequent resistance to change is a key implication of the job and demands strong skills of team building, motivating, and coaching.•Functions as a leader for one or more of the WCM pillars.Qualifications and Background:•High qualification in a technical degree as the job includes specialist/technical skills. Working Conditions - Travel to other facilities will be required, temporary relocation at other facilities while the plant is being constructed may also be necessary. Occasional shift assignments, working hours will vary based upon needs. May be exposed to industrial solvents and lubricants. Manufacturing environment includes working in conditions of heat and cold with exposure to dusty and loud noise situations. Physical Demands - Ability to fly on commercial airplanes and drive to remote locations. Requires wearing personal protection equipment as mandated. Other physical activities include, but not limited to, hands-on equipment related work as required to effectively lead, mentor and coach plant personnel in Focused TPM based activities. EOE/M/F/D/V
