Job Purpose




Perform the duties necessary to provide plant level purchasing support to ensure that goods and services are provided timely, within specification and at the lowest cost.  Position has limited purchasing authority and is base in an industrial plant environment.










Job Responsibilities






Responsible for providing plant level purchasing support activities to ensure that goods and services are provided timely, within specification and at the lowest cost










Responsible for preparation of Purchase Orders, record keeping, tracking and expediting







Maintain vendor information, assist with resolution of invoice problems with Accounts Payable

Assist with resolving delivery problems with storeroom clerk










Prepares purchasing reports and updates to automated purchasing systems

Responsible for running the reorder report  system, reviews inventory items, makes updates to descriptions, vendors, and min/max reorder points

Responsible for assigning new part number information into the master inventory and inventory file
