ePTFE Process Engineer

Zeus Industrial Products, Inc. is the leading manufacturer of fluoropolymer tubing for use in the medical device, aerospace, electronics, analytical, semiconductor, and environmental industries.  We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Process Engineer.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing processes and products, through innovation and modification of existing machinery to support the needs of the ePTFE department. The individual will be responsible for creating, developing and carrying out product improvements as requested. 

Responsibilities:The candidate will have ownership of project management of new process and product development efforts within the ePTFE R&D group. Collecting and analyzing technical data to determine areas for process improvement, applying sound analytical techniques. Hands-on proactive process and product development will be expected. Work with other key groups (manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, quality and sales) to bring new development products to commercialization. Write process and product specifications and author engineering reports as needed. Assure compliance with good manufacturing practice and quality systems. Conduct other job related duties as assigned by the Product Manager.

 

Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred (science/engineering related degree a must) 5 years of experience in a mechanical industrial environment with proven accomplishments

 

Specific Skills and Experience:Ability to identify root causes of problems and implement effective corrective actions. Ability to proactively identify and resolve materials, process or project timeline risks. Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with others. Experience in roll goods converting a plus. Must be detail-oriented and appreciate the value of accuracy. Experience in monofilament handling (twisting, braiding, weaving) a plus.  Proficient skills in manipulation of Microsoft office products. Excellent Communication skills both written and oral. Strong process documentation skills.
