WEBMASTER/DEVELOPER

 

Model Expo, Inc., one of the nation’s premier manufacturers and distributors of hobby kits and supplies, seeks a fulltime, onsite webmaster at our Hollywood, FL offices. We seek an individual who can recognize and prioritize tasks, is efficient, manages time well, can take design direction, and can work independently.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain www.modelexpo-online.com, adding products as necessary, and tracking usage.

2. Work with graphic designer to completely redesign the website to reflect new corporate identity.

3. Prepare daily retail and weekly wholesale email blasts and maintain the email lists.

4. Maintain onsite servers, updating server software as necessary.

5. Optimize search engines and explore innovative online marketing techniques.

 

Skill Set:

1. Thorough knowledge of all web development programs, including Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.

2. Knowledge of Java, CGI, CSS, Windows NT server software. Workstation is a Mac, however, the webmaster will be required to work in Windows and UNIX as well.

3. Previous experience with Ecometry desirable; however, we will train the successful candidate on this critical commercial system.

 

Remuneration:

1. Competitive salary, paid weekly, including (after 90 days employment) health insurance and profit sharing.

2. Two weeks vacation upon completion of twelve months employment.
