Job Information
Tropical Shipping is searching for a Marine Mechanic/Electrical Apprentice to join our Marine Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with mechanical and electrical aptitude. 

Experience in all areas is not necessary; we will train the right person. 

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of rebuilding & repairing diesel engines and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.  The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of  electrical equipment, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and machinery as well as electrical schematics and diagrams.

This individual will work with the mechanics and electrician on all repairs, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.  Also, they will assist with the design and installation of new electrical systems as needed.

Marine experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Hours:  M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm - but must be flexible
